Olympic Equestrian Center & New Athens Horse Racing Track

The Complex of the Olympic Equestrian Center comprises 11 arenas, open air, closed & roofed steeplechase course for the equestrian triathlon, stables for 280 horses, storage rooms, auxiliary and administration buildings for the ICO, the National Equestrian Organisation and VIPs.
The Race Course Complex includes a main horse race track and a horse training track, the Grandstand and Maintenance buildings, two race course stable complexes for 1.610 horses , riding tracks, a veterinary clinic, storage rooms, auxiliary buildings and a sewage treatment plant.
The racecourse complex continues to operate after the 2004 Olympic Games, while the installations of the Equestrian Center are currently being used as horse riding schools. Other facilities are used for entertainment for children by various sports clubs as well as for Cultural and other events.
