Originally built in 1899 at the corner of Carol & Ferdinand streets, Bucharest, the building comprises a built area of 1650m2 on a surface of 413m2. The powerful earthquakes of 1977, 1986 and 1990 caused heavy damages to the building and therefore it was became vital to proceed to its restoration.

All floor decks were replaced and new concrete reinforcement (gunite) was placed in its existing columns and walls. The roof of the building was also rebuilt and reinstated to its original state.
Last but not least, the morphology of the exterior was also maintained through the instalment of new glass panels and rehabilitation of the several damaged parts.
